【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】海燕颱風重創菲律賓，美國國防部今日下令，一艘正在香港訪問的航空母艦喬治華盛頓號，將前往菲律賓支援救災工作。

此外，英國政府也將派遣軍艦及運輸機前往災區救援，賑災金額也從600萬英鎊(約新台幣2.8億元)，加碼到1000萬英鎊(約新台幣4.7億元)。
